Which Herbal Tea is Best for Health?

There are numerous claims to the health benefits of herbal teas and most herbal and some fruit teas are naturally caffeine free which helps gives them a calming effect and makes them a great choice for anyone looking to restrict the amount caffeine in their diet.

Unlike black tea which comes from the camellia sinensis plant, herbal tea is produce from different plants known to have health benefits. Some of the plants used to produce herbal tea are;

  • chamomile
  • hibiscus
  • rosehip
  • peppermint
  • ginger
  • rooibos
  • dandelion
  • lemon balm
  • as well as other common herbs

All these herbs used in tea can have different effects on people and can be used to good effect.

Is Herbal Tea Good for You?

There have been many claims that Herbal tea may help relieve such things as;

  • high blood pressure
  • help boost the immune system
  • act as an anti-inflammatory
  • increase levels of vitamin C
  • reduce inflammation
