About Oolong Tea

Oolong tea is a semi-oxidised speciality tea.

Our pure Formosa Oolong tea is a speciality tea which had originally been produced in the Taiwanese mountains. It is also called Oriental Beauty or Champagne Oolong.

After plucking, the teas are fermented to approximately 50 % and then wilted in the sun. The Oolong tea develops a mild aroma and a large, wildly curled leaf. After brewing, the still green leaf centre with the fermented leaf edges becomes clearly visible. This tea fascinates with a particularly irregular and quite short, slightly broken leaf of black-brown colour. It is produces delicate, rich, lush and very light cup of tea and has a very flowery and fruity taste.

Region: China
Taste: Rich, spicy flavour
INGREDIENTS: Partially oxidised Black/green tea.
SUGGESTION: One heaped teaspoonful per cup, add freshly boiling water and infuse for up to 7 mins, perfect without milk.
